What are some characteristics of a good parent?

I am taking a course and we need to do some qualitative research. If you could answer this question with as many characteristics you can think of as possible I would appreciate it!!! Thanks for helping!!!!What are some characteristics of a good parent?
Hardworking


Caring


Loving


Teach their children good morals and values.


Able to say NO.


Don't give your children everything they want! They will live without it.


Practice what you preach: if you teach your child something, show them how you do it!





I have a 21 year old daughter that we have raised to become a very responsible, hard-working adult. She is a Sr. at University of Louisville and is currently working an internship at a very large advertisng agency. She has made us very proud!What are some characteristics of a good parent?
Be there.


Listen.


Set boundaries.


Follow through with discipline.


Keep your promises.


God first, family second, job third.
some characteristics of a good parent make sure your child knows how much you care for him/her. If he/she does something wrong let him know the consequences that follow his actions.


Also remember that your child will do what ever he/she sees you do. so if you something wrong for sure your child is going to mimic you... remember that a child always looks up to his parents no mater what.

Always at school supporting their kid. Always at every parent teacher conference, always there. I wish more parents did this.
