first, get married
second, enjoy being married for a FEW or more YEARS
third, save a MINIMUM of $5,000 just for the baby
fourth, talk about it with your husband (or ';life partner';) and plan out the next few years
then, read books, take parenting classes, talk to family/friends who have kids. How did you prepare to become a parent?
Knowledge is the best preparation. Reading books, looking up info on the internet and talking with other parents. Remember instincts are the best thing to listen too though. Having your first baby entails every emotion know to mankind!!!! As baby grows so do you as a parent.
you can get the diapers and wipes... fill the closet with outfits...pick a crib and carseat... pick the perfect name...read all the books in the world yet mentally emotionally and physically you will never be ready. as a mother we must act through pure primal instinct. some days are great and smooth running yet the next your praying you can take a shower. always trust your gut and instinct as a mother. you will know your child better than anyone elese. whats right for your child may not be for other kids and thats ok. as long as s/he is happy and healthy. sometimes the second is easier sometimes not since we all have our own personalities.
its always hard on ur first kid. YOu will make lots of mistakes. and do lots of thing you shouldnt do but after your second kid you learn from the first. even if you read books. it still doesnt matter just do what you wnat.
there is no preparation, we just do as best as we can and try not to commit our parents errors, each child is different so their cant be any guidline
